Functions, objectives and brief of the National Board for MSME:-
1. Examine the factors affecting the promotion and development of MSME.
2. Review the policies and programmes of the Central Government in regard to facilitating the promotion and development and enhancing the competitiveness of such enterprises and the impact thereof on such enterprises.
3. Make recommendations on matters referred to at serial no. 1
4. Advice the Central Government on the use of the Fund or Funds constituted under section 12 of MSMED Act 2006 dated 16th June, 2016.
5. The last meeting of the National Board for MSME has been conducted on 26.2.2018.
6. The term of the NBMSME had expired on 23rd April, 2019 on completion of its tenure of two years. The sixth National Board for MSMEs has been re-constituted on 2nd Feb 2021
